Car enthusiasts from all over San Diego County will flock to the historic Gaslamp Quarter this fall to take over 5th Avenue from K Street to E Street on October 9th, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This free to view event will be open to the public and showcase high-performance automobiles ranging from the traditional classics to the lavish luxury modern vehicles of today.

5. Thursday, October 13– Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show
San Diego’s only comedy show geared toward the LGBT community returns Oct. 13 and features local LGBT comedians Chet Sewell, Sarah Burford and Sean Wherley, local allied comedian Mark Gonzalez, and Los Angeles-based lesbian headliner Renee Santos.
Santos appears in the Showtime Channel’s new stand-up comedy special “Pride Comedy Jam,” and performs regularly in Los Angeles at the Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and the Hollywood Improv.

7. Saturday, October 15– Fashion Strikes Back
Haute Magazine will host this one-of-a-kind night of high fashion, music and live entertainment from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 15 at the On Broadway Events Center in San Diego’s Historic Gaslamp Quarter. The evening features a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, couture desert table and silent auction. Local and international designers will present their fashions in a fast-paced live runway show.
