Used Car Anyone?
Do you remember in 2004 and 2005 when selling San Diego real estate was easy as pie? There were well over 28,000 real estate agents in San Diego county and the general public was annoyed. It was easy money and everyone wanted it.
How about now?
Well guess what. The California Department of Real Estate reported last Wednesday that they are revoking licenses at a record rate. Seems that used car salesmen and come out in all markets.
Looks like the used car salesmen are dropping out and the slimeballs are getting kicked out!
The Department revoked 633 licences in the last 12 months from June 30-June 30, 90 licenses were suspended for real estate agents facing disciplinary action, and 163 who had their license suspended.
In all, 866 real estate brokers and others licensed in the State of California have lost or given up their license.
Disciplinary actions in the last four fiscal years have risen or been fueled by reports of abusive practives and scams related to short sales and loan modifications. And now there are 5,400 open investigations out there against used car salesmen and slimeballs.
May the cream rise to the top:)
