Top 7 Things To Do in San Diego This Week!

1.  Sunday May 15th – Sushi Eating Contest


This sushi restaurant is on its 30th year of sushi eating contests.  Separate contests for men and women.  $15 to compete, free to spectators.

2.  Monday May 16th – Bachata lessons
in Old Town!  Margaritas and dancing in the heart of the Birthplace of California 7.30-8.30 pm.

3.  Tuesday May 17th – Craft Your Own Burger
Have you visited this snazzy little venue?  You may not want to leave.  Great meals can be found here!  Try out Tuesdays “Craft Your Own Burger” with choice of 20 toppings and a Karl Strauss draft only $15.  Happy hour is daily 3-6.

4.  Wednesday May 18th – Eat, Drink, Read
Local chefs draw inspiration from their favorite books to create dishes for San Diego Council on Literacy’s second annual fundraiser.  Participating chefs include Bernard Guillas, Ron Oliver, Matt Gordon, and Brian Malarkey.  Each dish will be paired with beer, wine, or cocktails.

5.  Thursday May 19th – San Diego Italian Film Festival
Enjoy food and film together with other Italo-Americans or anyone just plain interested in Italy.  Good fun!

6.  Friday May 20th – Gourmet Food Trucks
Ten food trucks from LA join ten of the best from San Diego in a gourmet food truck competition in Clairemont.  Come check it out.

7.  Saturday May 21st – Dinner Detective
Enjoy a three course meal during an interactive mystery dinner where the diners may be suspects.
