Take a trip to the museum! February 20 will feature Egyptian themed stories, “One Blue Hippo” by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Children will practice counting with the help of works of art from the Metropolitan Museum’s Egyptian collection. The second book, “Tickle Tut’s Toes” by Julie Appel, explores the wonders of ancient Egypt including King Tut’s tomb, mummies, and Nefertiti’s tomb.

In this class, we’ll teach you how to brown that roux and spice it up right and make a gumbo with real cajun flair. Members of the OMA Artist Alliance will show their work at the museum for the first time in 2012. This juried exhibit will feature 30 works of art from paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media. 5. Thursday, February 23– Concert: Ra Ra Riot
Known for an energetic live show, Indie rock band Ra Ra Riot has had several favorable reviews from SPIN.com, who called the band formed at Syracuse University: “one of the best young bands we’ve heard in a really long time”. They went on to open for Art Brut and Bow Wow Wow in New York City, toured the UK twice on their own then returned, opened for the Editors, and have appeared several times at South by Southwest.
