5. Thursday, September 22– Inspired By Ink
Tattoo artists present their fine art during an exhibition featuring new works by Chris Winn, and other noted artists. In response to the Masterworks of Body Art: Traditional Tattooing in America, a live tattoo runway event on September 24 from 5 to 9 p.m., curated this exhibit to highlight the artwork rarely seen by tattoo artists. These artists create paintings and drawings mostly in the watercolor media, inspired by the bright, primary colors, clean, and bold outlines typical of body art.

6 Friday, September 23– Carlsbad Music Festival
The 8th annual Carlsbad Music Festival will take place in the Village of Carlsbad from Friday-Sunday, September 23-25, 2011. This year’s Festival will feature the Calder Quartet, My Brightest Diamond, Build, Vicky Chow, Burkina Electric,several composers-in-residence, and many more exciting artists.
