Majestic 6th-century Chinese Buddhist sculpture is combined with 21st century 3D-imaging technology in this exploration of one of the most important groups of Buddhist devotional sites in early medieval China.
Carved into the mountains of northern China, the Buddhist cave temples of Xiangtangshan (pronounced “shahng-tahng-shahn”) were the crowning cultural achievement of the 6th-century Northern Qi dynasty (550-77 CE).
4. Wednesday, February 29– Bachelor Auction “A Few Good Men”

San Diego’s Veterans Research Corp. and Pacific Beach Shore Club are hosting the 1st annual ‘A Few Good Men’ Bachelor Auction on Wednesday, Feb. 29. All bachelors will be active duty military and veterans with a special appearance by celebrity bonus bachelor Ryan Mathews of the San Diego Chargers. The event begins with happy hour at 5 p.m. The bachelor mingling hour will begin at 6 p.m. The auction will begin at 7 p.m.

7. Saturday, March 3– Ocean Beach Kite Festival

The 64th annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival is a free event for children and families. It’s the oldest kite festival for children in the U.S., a third-generation event. Children are taught how to make a simple kite, with prizes for the best. There is also a street fair, a carnival, and music. Come to the Ocean Beach Recreation Center any time between 9 AM and 12:30 to make your kite, then stay for lunch and prizes!
