All bachelors will be active duty military and veterans with a special appearance by celebrity bonus bachelor Ryan Mathews of the San Diego Chargers. The event begins with happy hour at 5 p.m. The bachelor mingling hour will begin at 6 p.m. The auction will begin at 7 p.m.

The 64th annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival is a free event for children and families. It’s the oldest kite festival for children in the U.S., a third-generation event. Children are taught how to make a simple kite, with prizes for the best. There is also a street fair, a carnival, and music. Come to the Ocean Beach Recreation Center any time between 9 AM and 12:30 to make your kite, then stay for lunch and prizes!
