Tips to Build Up Your Credit
Experian, one of the major credit reporting agencies is helping you out!
Rental payment history is now part of the credit report, helping out college students and immigrants who otherwise might have a tough time with their credit history.
Experian took over RentBureau which is a rental-payment history data unit. There are some limitations, currently only 8 million people have been entered into RentBureau in the US. Additionally, small landlords will not be rushing to pay Experian to be on this credit report so it will include only large complexes.
At the end of the day, we can only hope that it will help out college students, new graduates, etc. So if you are looking to build up your credit and get your piece of San Diego real estate, be sure and check to see if your rental is reported to Experian.
The Most Sun = The Most Searched
Know what I mean? Realtor.com searched real estate markets last year and
show that the hottest real estate markets in the country are the ones with sun.
Apparently changing conditions throughout 2010 in the sunshine states resulting in foreclosures tax credit, interest rates, and other factors have created mor interest in real estate compared with other states.
Couple that with LOCATION (always the #1 top criteria in picking a place to live) and there you have it!
The most searched cities were:
Las Vegas
Los Angeles
Orlando
San Antonio
Miami
Phoenix
SAN DIEGO
Tampa
and our one odd man out Chicago
Austin

Getting An FHA Loan? Here’s What You Need to Know
Mid-April there are going to be changes to the FHA loan – yes…again. Starting April 18th FHA loans will be going up 25 “basis points.”
No need to get into the technicalities of what this means, what will change for you is that for every $50,000.00 of house (more or less), you will be paying about $10/month more.
FHA is looking to increase the reserves they have in the Mutual Mortgage Insurance Fund which makes FHA 3.5% loans possible.
If you are looking to buy a house with 3.5% down, email us at sandiegorealestatecafe@gmail.com We’ll make sure that you are taken care of.
San Diego Sees An Increase In The High End Market
Does this sound like it goes contrary to what the media says about the housing market? As I’ve said before in other blogs the news media uses data that’s on a national level and though it might have some relevance to our local San Diego real estate market it’s important to get the facts and data about your local housing market. For the past years as an agent with Prudential California Realty I’ve seen how prices can differ vastly in a zip code so the more specific you can be the better decision you can make about fulfilling your real estate needs.
